This tiny youngster is a baby blackbird and it was brought into the centre after being found, cold and abandoned, on the ground.
It had a nasty wound on its back, which, fortunately, could be closed with a special veterinary glue. After some warmth, antibiotics and painkillers, the bird was fed using our new crop feeding tubes, which were kindly donated by Fab Finches, before being moved into an incubator for some rest. It will need feeding every half an hour!
